The
Karate Institute 2005 Black Belt Extravaganza a Huge Success!!
 Congratulations to the 2005 Extravaganza
team! The Karate Institute Black Belt Candidates and the KI
Demonstration Team created a precise, creative, and exciting martial arts
show to wow the crowd of 350+ people at the Andrews School for
Girls on November 18.
The Black Belt teams looked polished
and confident as they
demonstrated their skills and creativity. The Extravaganza
serves as a venue for Black Belt candidates to put on a public
performance as their final test requirement prior to receiving their honor.
Each candidate choreographed individual programs, chose ukes,
costumes, music and lighting to showcase their martial arts talents.

Groups of all ages demonstrated their talents and
skills in self-defense, weapon work, board breaking, and katas. The
show closed with a spectacular light demonstration with glowing
weapons. It was an exciting climax to an entertaining performance. Audience members responded enthusiastically to the teams. "The best
Extravaganza ever!", "I can't believe how professional everything
looked", or "That was amazing!!" were heard often throughout the
night.
If you missed the show or would like to have a
wonderful keepsake of the event, DVDs of the show, complete with a bonus video montage, is available for $20.00 at the school.
